Libressa

Privacy Policy

Last updated 27 August 2026

Libressa is a reading app. The data we hold exists so a book remembers where you stopped and a purchase reaches the right account. That is genuinely the whole of it.

The short version. We do not sell your data. We do not run ad networks or third-party analytics inside the app. You can start reading without giving us an email address, and you can delete everything from inside the app in two taps.

1. Who we are

Libressa is operated by the following company, which is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy:

HYPELAB, digitalni marketing, d.o.o.
Trg komandanta Staneta 8, 1000 Ljubljana, Slovenia
Company registration number (matična številka): 9852131000
VAT number (davčna številka): SI52623998
Email: hello@libressa.com

For privacy questions, or to exercise any right described here, write to hello@libressa.com.

2. Reading without an account

When you tap Start reading we create an anonymous account. It has no email address and no name, and we do not ask for one. It exists so your progress, your gem balance and the endings you have found are stored on our servers rather than on your phone — which is why they survive a crash or a reinstall on the same device.

You can attach an email address later, and that is the only way your library and your gems follow you to a different phone. It is your choice, and it does not change what you can read: the free opening is eight scenes either way. What each scene costs after that is set out in the Terms.

3. What we hold

WhatWhy
An account identifierTo tie progress and purchases to you. Anonymous accounts have nothing else.
Email address (only if you add one)Sign-in, password reset, and the renewal notices the law requires us to send subscribers.
Reading progress — the book, the scene, the choices you madeTo reopen a book where you left it, and to keep the story consistent with what you already decided.
Gem balance, purchases, unlocked scenes and choicesTo credit what you bought and never charge you twice for the same scene.
Endings you have foundYour collection.

If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive an account identifier and, if you allow it, an email address. We do not receive your password. Apple's Hide My Email works normally — we only ever see the relay address.

4. Payments

Every purchase goes through Apple. We never see your card details — Apple tells us that a purchase was made and for which product, and we credit the gems. Apple's handling of payment data is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.

5. What we do not do

6. Who processes it for us

Each is bound to process data only on our instructions.

7. How long we keep it

Until you delete it. When you delete your account, reading progress, choices, endings and gem balance are erased.

Two records survive, and we would rather be plain about it:

Neither contains anything you read or wrote.

8. Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — hello@libressa.com. Deletion is also immediate and self-service inside the app: You → Delete account.

If you are in the UK or the EEA, you also have the right to object to or restrict processing, the right to data portability, and the right to complain to your data protection authority — in the UK, the ICO. If you are in California, you have the rights to know, delete, correct and opt out; we do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of, and we will never treat you differently for asking.

9. Children

Libressa contains adult themes and is rated 16+. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has created an account, write to us and we will delete it.

10. Changes

If we change this policy in a way that materially affects you, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
